The Institute for Austere & Emergency Sciences (IAES) invites training providers, academic centers, expedition schools, humanitarian agencies, and field-based education organizations to apply for accreditation of their courses through one of our specialized academies.
IAES accreditation ensures your course is recognized as meeting internationally benchmarked standards in austere medicine, expedition leadership, field operations, or related remote and resource-limited practice domains.

Your course will be reviewed under the most appropriate academic division with input from our advisory board of clinicians, educators, and operational experts.
How It Works

Initial Expression of Interest
Fill out a short form outlining your course objectives, delivery format, and intended audience. -
Curriculum & Faculty Review
Submit detailed curriculum materials, instructor bios, and learning outcome frameworks for evaluation by an IAES academic committee. -
Recommendations & Alignment
We provide feedback and guidance for alignment with IAES standards, including optional upgrades or adaptations. -
Recognition & Endorsement
Upon approval, your course receives IAES accreditation for 3 years, with ongoing support and optional listing in member directories.
